During her years in Art College Morag tended towards specializing in portraiture and still includes it in her repertoire when not working in the film industry.

From 1997 -2000 Morag taught portrait sculpture at the Vancouver Academy of Art in Canada.

She embarked on sculpting a series of portraits of well respected European chefs after BBC TV asked her to sculpt a number of portraits of food scientists from history, (Savarin & Bacon shown below) and also a portrait of the presenter of their programme, Chef Raymond Blanc. M. Blanc’s BBC portrait is not shown here, only the one made of him at a later date.
